Welcome to my Pet Portraiture page. I work primarily from photographs, which I shoot, or are sent to me. I like to meet with the pet or at least get a feel for their personality through my clients description of its demeanor and life style. Many of my subjects, of course I can't meet with so the written information I am given is very important.
Over the years I have used many different mediums in my portraiture work. The majority of my paintings are now executed in acrylic on canvas. I enjoy its richness in color and its superior durability.
For a complete and finished appearance, backgrounds in my portraits are rendered in a simple and colorful style, which will enhance and compliment your animal. Arrangements can be made, however, for any specific background desires you may have. Anything is possible, a landscape, structure, sky, etc…
